Bundle Dyed Cotton and Blockprinted Box Top Size:MediumThis fabric is bundle dyed (natural materials in steam) with many foraged materials. Much color layers the textile but it's so hard to see in a photograph. It's then blockprinted with my hand carved poinsettia flower in ochre yellow. 100% Cotton lawn (sheer and light weight) simple box fit stand out tops. Inspired by the Central and South American huipil, the design is meant to display the pattern of the fabric. With my patterns I find it best to

About the Instructor

It's hand printed with hot pink ferns

Then the piece was hand dyed with golden reactive dye using a low immersion method using the least amount of water

as it can get pretty addictive

10 yards are printed at a time

Typically each student will have time to add color to one piece

But I see the various inconsistency in textures the dyes leave on the various papers
